This morning’s showers will lead to another sunny day, although it won’t be quite as warm today as it was Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service
Rain showers are departing by mid-morning, allowing clouds to break up and sun to shine through, meteorologist Charlie Foley said. Temperatures will reach 64 degrees in Boston, though a west wind will pick up, at times gusting to 23 miles per hour.
Tonight a low pressure disturbance will pass to the north, potentially bringing sprinkles overnight into Friday morning. But once that clears out, sunny skies will stick around through the weekend, Foley said.
Beginning Friday, a high pressure system from the Ohio River Valley moves into the region bringing above-average temperatures in the 60s, clear skies, and mild overnight temps in the low 40s, Foley said.
Expect a sunny weekend with temperatures to reach 61 degrees in Boston on Friday, with a light east wind, forecasters said. Saturday will be similar, with a light wind and a high of 64. Sunday is poised to be the nicest day of the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 67 degrees in Boston.
