Police probe Charlestown homicide

Boston police continue to search today for the person who shot and killed a man on a Charlestown street Tuesday night.

Police responded to Monument Street around 10:18 p.m. Tuesday after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting that a person had been shot.

When they arrived, they found the body of a man lying in the street near 92 Monument St.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they know who the person is, but they are not releasing his name.

No arrests have been made, police said today.

The man’s death is the 18th homicide in Boston this year, including the three people murdered during the Boston Marathon bombings, police said.
