Billerica man charged with 12th OUI

A Billerica man now has a dozen drunk-driving charges under his belt, after being pulled over in Boxborough Friday night, according to a statement from the Boxborough Police Department.

Police pulled over 62-year-old Guy J. Patierno, whose license was revoked for life after his 10th OUI in 2010, on Interstate 495 at about 8:40 p.m. after witnesses reported that he was driving erratically—speeding and weaving between lanes, police said.

Patierno was charged with operating under the influence, 12th offense; operating on a revoked license for OUI while OUI; operating with a revoked license subsequent offense; operating to endanger; providing a false name to a police officer; possession of a dangerous weapon (blackjack); resisting arrest; having a forged inspection sticker; having an open alcoholic container; speeding; and failure to stay in marked lanes.

He is being held without bail and will be arraigned at Ayer District Court on Monday.
