‘Superstar K’ looks for local talent
“Superstar K,’’ a Korean talent show, sent reps to Boston on Tuesday to audition Berklee College of Music students and other local talent in the hopes of finding the next K-pop star. K-pop wonder Psy, of “Gangnam Style’’ fame, briefly attended Berklee, so we assume producers had high expectations for local auditions. Hopefuls who showed up for the “American Idol’’-style tryouts, held in Allston, included (from left) Hyuk Jun Son, 30, of Boston and Neo Yim, 25, of South Korea.
