Boston police investigate after female found dead in Jamaica Plain on Tuesday

Boston police are investigating the death of a person who was found near a motor vehicle early Tuesday morning in Jamaica Plain.

Police said officers were called to 7 Parkside Drive around 5:35 a.m. Tuesday where they saw a female “outside in the area of a motor vehicle.’’

Police did not provide any other information about the person.

Police are waiting for the medical examiner to determine the cause of death, said police spokeswoman Cheryl Fiandaca.

Boston Emergency Medical Services personnel pronounced the person dead at the scene.
