‘Girl Rising’ screening draws a crowd

There were some familiar faces at Thursday’s screening of “Girl Rising,’’ a new documentary about the importance of education to a group of nine girls around the world. The film, directed by Richard E. Robbins and narrated by the likes of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, and Selena Gomez, drew a crowd that included Swanee Hunt, Kerry Healey, Cheryl Richards, Lisa Pierpont, Wendy Semonian, Stacey Lucchino, Corinne Grousbeck, Linda Pizzuti Henry, Bryan Rafanelli, Marlo Fogelman, and Sandra Casagrand.
