Paulus wearing De Paulo to the Tonys

Win or lose, American Repertory Theater artistic director Diane Paulus plans to look smashing at Sunday’s Tony Awards. We’re told Paulus will be wearing a dress designed by Boston designer Michael De Paulo. The ART’s production of “Pippin’’ is nominated for best revival of a musical, and Paulus for best direction — two of 10 nods the show received. . . . Boston-bred media mogul Sumner Redstone marked 90 years on the planet with a party at his Beverly Hills abode. Fellow Boston homey (and Hollywood heavyweight) Mark Wahlberg was a guest, along with the likes of Tom Cruise, Danny DeVito, and 87-year-old Tony Bennett, who crooned some of Redstone’s favorite tunes. (Redstone finished first in class at Boston Latin and went to Harvard.) His daughter, Shari
, mentioned the party to us at last week’s opening of National Amusements’ new Cinema de Luxe in Chestnut Hill. But we weren’t invited.
