Transit Police seek help in finding suspect who hit elderly man in face

MBTA Transit Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who hit an elderly man in the face at a Red Line station, officials said.

On Oct. 16, at around 9:30 p.m., the suspect struck the elderly man at Shawmut Station, which resulted in facial injuries. The assault was not provoked, Transit Police said in a statement.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 30 years old, and about 6 feet tall, with a medium-length afro. He was wearing yellow pants and a yellow sweatshirt, Transit Police said.
