Boston Police Department’s District B-3 celebrates Halloween

With Oct. 31 just around the corner, the officers at the Boston Police Department’s District B-3 Office welcomed the neighborhood’s ghouls and goblins for some pre-Halloween fun on Tuesday.

Officers with the Mattapan-based station went all out this year, handing out candy to more than 1,000 children.

Although the evening event was all about fun and community, there were plenty of opportunities for some classic Halloween fright.

There were a handful of frightful activities Tuesday, but there were also plenty of family-friendly opportunities for the less adventurous.

It wouldn’t be a community event without some face painting.
