Matt Damon makes serious dough for 60-second TV ad

Movie stars don’t typically appear in TV ads because, well, they don’t have to. But Matt Damon has made an exception for Nespresso, the coffee machine maker. The New York Post reports that Damon was paid $3 million for a 60-second spot that also features George Clooney. Nice work if you can get it. Apparently Damon made the commercial because of Clooney and the director, Grant Heslov, who produced “Argo’’ as well as Damon’s new movie “Monuments Men.’’
