Boston police arrest four after sizable finding of heroin, oxycontin pills in Dorchester home

Three men and a woman were arrested Saturday afternoon after police seized a large amount of heroin, oxycontin pills, and a gun inside a Dorchester home, according to Boston police.

Eduardo Guzman, 44, Estrellita Peguero, 21, Christian Samuel Ferreira-Reyes, 24, and Miguel Alberto Perez, 20, all of Boston, were arrested and charged with trafficking Class A and Class B drugs after police searched 151 Devon St. in Dorchester around 12:15 p.m., said Officer James Kenneally, a spokesman for the Boston police. Perez was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, he said.

Police found approximately 200 grams of heroin and 4,000 oxycontin pills during the bust. The drugs are valued at more than $150,000.

The discovery of the drugs stemmed from the ongoing neighborhood efforts to target illegal drug activity and those involved in the drug trade, said Kenneally.

The entry to the Dorchester residence was peaceful and all four suspects were arrested without incident, police said.

“The battle against illegal drugs in our city is ongoing and I’d like to acknowledge and thank the men and women of our neighborhood drug control units for their hard work and arrests like today,’’ Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans said in a statement. “Thanks to them, four suspects are in custody and there is one less illegal gun in our neighborhoods.’’

All four suspects are being arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester District Court.
