Mark Wahlberg is a good sport at the Kids’ Choice Awards
When you sign up to host Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, you pretty much know you’re going to get slimed. That’s Boston guy and this year’s host, Mark Wahlberg, being a good sport about the mess. Local Kids’ Choice winners included Plainville author Jeff Kinney, whose “Diary of a Wimpy Kid’’ series won the Best Book category, and New Hampshire’s Adam Sandler, who won Favorite Actor. Sadly, Red Sox star David Ortiz lost in the Most Enthusiastic Athlete category to Dwight Howard.
