Boston's Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is partnering with Tailwind Air.

A Boston hotel just added seaplane service to its list of amenities.

The 1,054-room Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, which opened in September, has partnered with seaplane operator Tailwind Air to offer guests 15 percent off room rates when using the city’s newest form of transportation. Tailwind Air launched nonstop service between Boston Harbor and New York City in August.

The amphibious Cessna Caravans accommodate eight passengers, and the trip between Boston Harbor and the Skyport seaplane terminal in Manhattan takes 75 minutes.

“We are very excited to partner with Tailwind Air and facilitate opportunities for our guests to arrive to Boston via a different and unique travel experience,” Michael Jorgensen, managing director of Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, said in a statement. “As our hotel embodies 21st Century Boston, we see exciting synergies in our collaboration with Tailwind Air, which is providing a modern approach to traveling between two of America’s best cities. With the company’s Boston terminal located only a short distance from our hotel, we see this partnership as an important step in further elevating our guest experience.”

The hotel says it will work with Tailwind Air to provide accommodations for any passengers whose flights are affected by bad weather.

Tailwind Air offers four daily, nonstop flights between Manhattan and Boston Monday through Friday, and also on Sundays, with one-way fares starting at $395.
