NWS meteorologist Bill Simpson said that Martha’s Vineyard and the Upper Cape, from Falmouth over to Hyannis, have received between two and four-and-a-half inches in the course of only a few hours.
“Downtown Falmouth had upwards of two feet of standing rain in the downtown area,” Simpson said. “Many cars were flooded out.”
