Map: Here’s how cool it will be in Boston today

Boston may not break cold records Tuesday, but it’s still going to be ‘unseasonably’ cool.

The rain may have let up, but Tuesday’s weather will still be far from the July’s usually beach-friendly conditions.

The National Weather Service said the weather for Boston Tuesday will be “unseasonably cool” and cloudy with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s.

With those highs, the area may not break the record for chilly summer weather.

“It’s not out of the question but it looks like it’s probably going to be warm enough not to get to that point,” said Bob Thompson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

Before you get your hopes up and decide to go for those shorts and a t-shirt, Thompson said it’s going to be close enough that the weather service will be keeping an eye on it throughout the day.

Thankfully, Boston.com meteorologist Dave Epstein says warm weather is back in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
