A snow event is expected to impact the region on Monday, with forecasters calling for up to three inches in some parts of Massachusetts. The largest snow totals are expected to accumulate in the Berkshires and Worcester hills, according to the National Weather Service.
The heaviest precipitation will begin falling in parts of western and central Massachusetts around noon, reaching the Boston area by 3 p.m., but forecasters expect mostly rain in coastal regions.
