The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for southeast Massachusetts ahead of a storm system set to pass close to the coast on Monday.
Just how much snow the region can expect is not yet clear, according to the statement.
“The exact track of an ocean storm remains uncertain. if the storm tracks closer to the coast heavier snow amount will be possible and farther inland,’’ the statement read. “Conversely if the storm tracks farther out to sea less snowfall can be expected.’’
The Monday storm could also bring 30 mph winds, with gusts blowing upwards of 45 mph.
