Chilly and dry this weekend

Colder weather will be with us here in New England for the weekend. High pressure, which usually means dry air, will be with us all weekend. This blob of air will keep a small rain and snow storm well to our south. This rain will affect Indianapolis on Saturday but leave that area of the country sunny and mild for Sunday.

If you are driving out to Indiana for the big game the weather looks dry from Boston to Indianapolis through tonight. The weather through New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio looks dry and seasonable. The biggest issue you will have from the weather will be solar glare in the afternoon. So, if you are driving west don’t forget the sunglasses.

On Saturday rain will move into Indiana for the day but here in New England we will have fine early February weather with chilly temperatures but nothing very cold.
The storm system that will affect Indiana with rain at the start of the weekend was the potential storm for New England Sunday. However, the upper level winds at 30,000 feet are going to take the storm safely out to see to our south. Once again, our bare ground will continue through the first week of February.

Sunshine today will be replaced by a rainy raw day on Saturday. The rain, however, will move out of the area by Sunday and it will be partly sunny and a bit mild with temperatures in the 40s. Temperatures at kick off Sunday in Indy will be in the 30s.
Back here at home our weather looks dry for the next several days. The coldest day will be Super Bowl Sunday when temperatures will be just above freezing in the afternoon. If you are planning on headed to a party or walking around the city you should dress for more winter type temperatures. It will feel colder than it really is since we are just not use to it this year. There will be plenty of sunshine the next 7 days and except for a flurry or two there is really no weather events to get excited about.
Right now, temperatures looks to be on the rebound again by Monday as we get back into the 40s with sunshine. That dry weather continues into Tuesday and Wednesday as well. When the Patriots win, there will be plenty of good weather to greet them as they arrive home.
