This summer Saturdays have been a day where the forecast often contains clouds and showers. The longer range forecasts have often overplayed the clouds and showers for Saturday, and the actual day itself hasn’t turned out so terrible. I think this is the case again this weekend, with Sunday the better or the two days, but Saturday ending up much nicer than you might have heard a few days ago.
Friday will feature clouds and some showers
Humidity will be back Friday with temperatures in the 70s. Showers will cross the area from time to time, but much of the day will be dry. Look for the highest risk of showers in the afternoon and overnight. It will feel sticky all day in spite of temperatures being cooler than the past few days.
Saturday will improve
A cold front Saturday may kick off a shower early, but more than likely it’ll be dry all day. Humidity will slowly fall, but it’ll feel quite muggy for much of the day. I think sunshine comes out by mid-morning, and if you want to head to the beach, go for it. Temperatures will be warm, getting in the 80s, but 70s over Cape Cod.
Drier with more sunshine Sunday
Sunday will be the best day of the weekend because it’s all sunshine, no chance of showers, and the humidity is low. Additionally, it will be warm, making a day at the beach a super idea. Water temperatures are now at their peak levels for the year.
Clear skies for the eclipse
The eclipse on Monday will peak around 2:45 p.m., and it should be clear for the entire time. I can’t rule out a passing cloud, but since we are not going to be in the path of totality, you’ll see plenty of it even if there is.
