It’s finally time to break out your box of summer clothes.

The National Weather Service is forecasting that on Wednesday most of Massachusetts will see temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s with “plenty of sunshine” — and some locations could hit 90.

“Haven’t seen temperatures in the 80s since October, hope everyone enjoyed the time off (roughly 200 days),” service meteorologists said on Facebook.

According to the service’s seven-day forecast for Boston, high temperatures will remain in the mid-80s on Thursday, but there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon.
