Here’s David Epstein’s breakdown of this weekend’s weather

High temperatures Saturday will reach the 70s along with plenty of sunshine.

Friday will be another very warm day with temperatures significantly above average. It’ll be the third such day this week. With more in the way of clouds and the chance of showers, however, I don’t expect readings to get to 90 degrees. There were plenty of records set on Thursday.

Any showers that do develop Friday afternoon should be on the lighter side. There is, of course, the chance of a thunderstorm, which shouldn’t be severe.

You will notice the humidity all day long, but it will drop overnight and that will set us up for a much better day on Saturday.

High temperatures Saturday will reach the 70s along with plenty of sunshine. This is my pick for the weekend.

On Sunday, an area of clouds and showers will skirt to our south. This could bring a few showers into Southern New England, but I’m not expecting much in the way of rainfall. Because of the clouds, temperatures will only be in the 60s, which actually is where they should be this time of the year.

Next week generally looks dry with seasonably warm temperatures. There may be a couple of days where readings get well into the 70s to near 80, but I don’t see any 90-degree weather in the immediate future.
