The end of the heat wave is in sight.

The National Weather Service says a break in the heat is expected this weekend.

Service forecasters said that while Thursday we’ll see yet another day of scorching heat and humidity, a cold front is on its way.

Luckily this will be the last day as a cold front tomorrow will bring in more comfortable conditions this weekend,” the service said.

In Boston, forecasters say the heat index will reach up to 99 degrees on Thursday and in other parts of Massachusetts it will feel like it’s more than 100. A heat advisory is in effect for most of the state.
