David Epstein: This will be one of the best weekends of the entire summer
Go enjoy any body of water you can find.
The past several weekends have had either the chance for showers, a lot of humidity, or very hot temperatures. These conditions have made it harder — though certainly not impossible — to enjoy the summer weather.
This weekend brings redemption: We are going to have a nearly ideal combination of sunshine, comfortably warm air, and moderate levels of humidity.
In terms of all the weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day, this weekend will end up being one of the best. Here’s your complete weekend weather forecast:
Friday will be a little warmer than the rest of the weekend.

Highs on Friday will reach the mid 80s.
It’s not going to matter where you are this weekend. From the mountains of New Hampshire to the coastal beaches of Cape Cod, much of New England will enjoy very similar weather.
High temperatures on Friday will be in the mid 80s, which is only slightly warmer than what we’ll see on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday will be a perfect summer day.

Highs Saturday will reach the low 80s in most spots. It’ll be cooler at the beaches.
On Saturday, Southern New England will be around 80 degrees, give or take a couple, and the beaches will be slightly cooler. If you’re heading up to Northern New England, readings will be in the upper 70s. Some cooling sea breezes north of Brunswick will keep the coastline there in the 70s.
Water temperatures are just about at their maximum for the entire year, so get in and enjoy any body of water you can find. Most readings are in the 68-76 degree range.
Tides will be high right around noon this weekend. This means that the amount of beach will be shrinking during the morning and then growing during the afternoon.
Sunday will be another one.

Highs will reach the lower 80s again Sunday.
The temperatures and humidity will be quite similar on Sunday.
There is more heat and humidity on the way for Monday through Thursday next week. It’s likely that many areas will reach and exceed 90 degrees during this time, meaning a heat wave is possible. Although Labor Day weekend is just a week away, summer is going to go out on a very hot note.

Temperatures will average well above normal though the first week of September.
