Labor Day weekend is expected to get steadily hotter

At sunrise, an early morning front passes over Boston looking east out to the ocean, which should bring cooling temperatures to the area.

A Labor Day weekend that started on a cool note is expected to end on a hot one.

After Saturday started out with a low of 63 degrees in Boston, Labor Day Monday is likely to see a high in the low 90s, according to Eleanor Vallier-Talbot, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service.

On Saturday, temperatures were expected to remain steadily in the mid-70s through the afternoon under sunny skies in the city.
