Here’s what David Epstein is saying about Hurricane Florence

"Still lots of questions as to whether it ever makes it to the United States and where."

All eyes are going to turn toward Hurricane Florence next week as it continues to move to the west.

The storm is looking more likely to threaten parts of the East Coast. Blocking high pressure makes it less likely for a New England direct hit, but we won’t know that definitely for a few days.

This time of year, it’s always a good idea to check hurricane kits and begin thinking about what steps you might take if a hurricane were to hit New England. Many of us are not prepared for what it would be like if a hurricane made landfall here.

There is more tropical activity beyond Florence, so it’s not a bad idea to think about this anyway.
