Here’s the timing of the rain forecast in Massachusetts on Monday

Watch out for some rain and thunder as you bask in the Red Sox’ World Series victory.

The continued celebrations in Boston Monday morning of the Red SoxWorld Series win may be a bit damp — in weather only.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain and some possible thunder early in the day for Massachusetts.

“The risk lingers through mid-day,” meteorologists said.

According to the service’s seven-day forecast for Boston, the city is expected to see rain and thunder largely before 1 p.m., but the chance of showers continues throughout the afternoon. 

Southeastern Massachusetts saw more severe weather Monday morning, with a tornado warning issued for the Falmouth area until 10:15 a.m.
