Map: Here’s how much it snowed in Mass. as of Monday morning

Northern Plymouth County and the upper Cape got the most.

Snow began early Monday morning and fell steadily across Massachusetts overnight, coating southern New England and likely to eventually result in 3-6 inches of accumulation by the end of the day. The preliminary results are in.

The National Weather Service posted a map Monday morning with observed total snowfall as of 8 a.m. Northern Plymouth County and the upper Cape got the most.

“Mainly just pockets of flurries late this morning besides for an area of steadier snow across portions of [Rhode Island/southeastern Massachusetts],” the National Weather Service said at 10:45 a.m. “Meanwhile, snow across [New York state] will drop southeast and may bring a coating to 2 inches of additional snow accumulation this afternoon.”
