For at least the next 24 hours, Boston and its surrounding areas are expected to stay dry. According to the National Weather Service, high pressure will keep the region precipitation-free through Thursday evening, with highs expected in the mid-to-high 50s near the coast, and between 60 and 65 degrees inland. Although the day will start with sunshine, clouds are expected to populate the afternoon sky. Late Thursday night, those in western New England may see scattered rainfall.
