Here’s what to expect from Thursday’s weather forecast

New England could see thunderstorms in the latter half of the day.

While Wednesday night’s forecast indicated a possibility of showers, the chances for precipitation are greater on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, Southern New England can expect between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rainfall Thursday, with the most rain expected to hit northern and western Massachusetts. With the expectation of thunderstorms as well, the area could see heavy rainfall and minor flooding in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures for the day will be in the mid-60s to mid-70s, while the evening’s lows will stay around the mid-60s.
