Though Hurricane Dorian is continuing to make itself known as it moves along the Atlantic coast, the northeastern part of the United States should largely escape the storm’s wrath unscathed.

The Category 1 storm, which is picking up speed in the Atlantic Ocean while pushing north, will mostly miss the country’s northeast region, meaning moderate temperatures in the 60s on Sunday night followed by a pleasant start to your week. Expect a low-humidity Monday with sunshine in the forecast and temperatures rising up into the 70s and low 80s. Though keeping an umbrella handy is never a bad idea during hurricane season, September’s looking cool and pleasant in the Boston area, at least for now.
