Wednesday’s weather in the Greater Boston area will be met with rainy conditions, but be careful with those umbrellas — the forecast also predicts wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour. That number could be higher along the immediate coast, as well as on Cape Cod and the Islands. Heavy rain will start around midday, with Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands bearing the brunt. Meanwhile, temperatures will be as much as five degrees below seasonal levels according to the National Weather Service, meaning highs between 55 and 60 degrees. Winds will continue to increase and rainfall will remain in the evening. The service predicts between half an inch and one inch of rainfall at night.
