Here’s what to expect from Friday’s weather forecast

High temperatures will be on the mild side, but we can't say the same for the winds.

Hold on to your hats, because it’s going to be a gusty end to the workweek. Under thick clouds and temperatures in the mid 50’s, you’ll see winds gusts that could near 30 miles per hour. There is a chance for rain as midday approaches, but the National Weather Service doesn’t expect more than a tenth of an inch to fall. Temperatures will then take a significant dip into the 20’s and low 30’s in Eastern Massachusetts. Winds will also pick up the pace with a sustained speed between 23 and 28 miles per hour and gusts that could reach around 45.
