Get ready for a very wet and windy Friday. Rain — heavy at times — will fall throughout the day and evening. Strong, potentially damaging winds are also expected with gusts on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket possibly reaching 60 miles per hour. Other coastal areas could see gusts of 50 miles per hour.

Temperatures will be mainly in the 40s.

The rain and wind will diminish Friday night before conditions eventually clear on Saturday.
