Get ready to dig. February will greet the Boston region with a powerful winter storm.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Monday, calling for heavy snow, strong winds, and coastal flooding.
The storm will arrive during the day with periods of heavy snowfall during the afternoon and evening. Much of the region could see a foot or more of snow, with lesser amounts in some coastal locations, particularly parts of Cape Cod and the Islands.

We’ve officially upgraded the winter storm watch to a winter storm warning. Confidence has grown that the rain/snow line will be far enough south to allow snowfall amounts of a foot or more for portions of eastern MA and Rhode Island. Coastal Flood watch in effect as well. pic.twitter.com/rQ24tmlmzn
