As the winter season kicks into high gear, snow has accumulated in several areas of Massachusetts after a “major winter storm” slowly churned through the northeast. To pair with the piling snow, high wind warnings were in effect in parts of coastal New England.
The National Weather Service said the majority of the snowfall was seen in the western portion of the state. Otis in Berkshire County saw the most snow thus far with up to 10 inches of snow measured by 3:30 p.m. Monday in some parts.
